The 8th track from the monthly 10-track release series "Signs of Life".
This song is about how our senses send us back to times and places. The can do it instantaneously and can do so even though they might be painful experiences.
Sometime there is an absence, a missing when this happens - especially at Christmas, when this song is reflecting on. The passing of time, of lives set against the ancient rocks and the sea.
I found a photo of my dad standing at the sea edge. No one knew it then, but that was the last time he stood in the sea - did he know, did he sense something wasn’t right?
Was he acknowledging the end of something; there is a peace in that photo.

Probably one of the biggest surprises to me was finding out about BlakLight by just browsing. Very reminiscent of groups like Depeche mode. Has a nice, classic sound with modern additions sprinkled in, and definitely worth a buy. Jet Stromfield

If someone told me Bob Rock produced this album I would believe them. A wonderfully rich sound, with so many College Rock and Americana influences I won’t even begin. Great lyrics, great production, great sound. The album closer is epic too Joe A buys records
